Alert for HPAI in Dairy Cattle:

Please contact the Wyoming Livestock Board directly via phone, 307.777.7515, or lsbforms-applications@wyo.gov for restrictions regarding movement of lactating dairy cattle.

APPLICABLE REGULATIONS FOR THIS MOVE

  1. Official identification required.

  2. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian 30 days or less before transport to Wyoming. Official ID numbers must be recorded on the CVI, unless moving to an approved tagging site. A CVI is not required if cattle are moving to an approved livestock market.

  3. Entry permit required. Call the Wyoming Livestock Board office for entry permit at 307-777-7515 Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM Mountain time. Entry permit is not required if cattle are moving to an approved livestock market or if using an eCVI that is automatically submitted (not emailed) upon submission.

  4. A statement must be included on the CVI that the issuing veterinarian certifies the bull to be known virgins.

  1. NUES 9 tags

    • silver 'brite' tags
    • OCV/Bangs tags (orange)
  2. AIN tags

    • '840' prefix
    • '900' prefix (only for tags manufactured before March 11, 2014 and applied before March 11, 2015)
