Movement Regulations when moving Cattle from Georgia to Texas

APPLICABLE REGULATIONS FOR THIS MOVE

  1. Official identification required.

  2. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian 30 days or less prior to entry, with official ID numbers recorded on or attached to the CVI.

  3. Negative Trichomoniasis test is required within 60 days prior to entry, with an official Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test. Trichomoniasis samples pooled at the laboratory may qualify as the official test if no more than five samples are pooled.


Official eartags for cattle:

  1. NUES 9 tags

    • silver 'brite' tags
    • OCV/Bangs tags (orange)
  2. AIN tags - visible or RFID

    • '840' prefix
    • '900' prefix (only for tags manufactured before March 11, 2014 and applied before March 11, 2015)
  3. Official individual breed registry tattoos or brands.
