HPAI Update - Lactating dairy cattle

Lactating dairy cattle imported into Colorado must have a negative test for Influenza A within 7 days prior to movement. The lactation status and negative test results must be recorded on the CVI. Premises that have received and maintain USDA Monitored Unaffected status through the Dairy Herd Status Program, may submit the most recent weekly Bulk Tank testing as proof of negative test results.

APPLICABLE REGULATIONS FOR THIS MOVE

  1. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection issued by an accredited veterinarian 30 days or less prior to entry.

  2. No official identification required.

  3. Official identification does not need to be recorded on the CVI.

  4. Entry permit required. Entry permits can be obtained by calling 303-869-9130 or using the Online Permitting System(OPS). For more information on OPS please visit the OPS Resources Page.
