APPLICABLE REGULATIONS FOR THIS MOVE

  1. Official identification required.

  2. Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issued by an accredited veterinarian 30 days or less prior to entry, with official ID numbers recorded on or attached to the CVI.

  3. PAPER CVIS ONLY: Import permit is required. A permit can be obtained by calling 406-444-2976 or emailing a scan or photo to livpermits@mt.gov.

  4. The following statement must be recorded on the CVI. "The bull(s) identified on this certificate are virgin bulls."

  5. The following statement must be recorded on the CVI. "The cattle in this shipment ARE NOT 'M-Branded (Mexican origin) nor have they been in contact with any 'M-Branded cattle."

Official eartags for cattle:

All sexually intact animals must have official ID (840-RFID Tag, Country of Origin RFID tag, or if tagged prior to November 5, 2024, a silver metal NUES/metal bang tag).
